1 · Protection & underbody armour
Ground clearance is one thing; keeping the sump, radiator and fuel lines intact is another. A front skid plate is the cheapest insurance you can bolt to a Defender before it sees dirt, and it's the upgrade we'd fit before anything else.

3 · Exterior & body styling
Once the truck is protected and lit, this is where it starts to look like your build. A vented hood and wide-body flares are the two changes that shift the Defender's stance the most — and the flares add real paint protection over bigger tyres.
